Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr ), which rose 1.93% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr ) added 1.74% or 0.03 points to end at 1.75 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr ) was up 1.39% or 0.40 points to 29.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr ), which fell 3.30% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.06 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr ) declined 3.08% or 0.01 points to end at 0.28 and Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr ) was down 2.94% or 0.02 points to 0.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 65 to 51 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.39% or 0.40 to 29.20.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.60 to $2,749.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.81% or 1.26 to hit $70.75 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.71% or 1.25 to trade at $74.35 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 103.64.
