Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.18%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction , Technology and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.18%, while the MDAX index declined 0.81%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.60%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG ), which rose 2.52% or 0.40 points to trade at 16.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn ) added 1.43% or 3.00 points to end at 212.90 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn ) was up 1.20% or 3.70 points to 311.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n ), which fell 2.87% or 1.35 points to trade at 45.64 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn ) declined 2.67% or 0.79 points to end at 28.77 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p ) was down 2.24% or 4.80 points to 209.80.

The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG ) which rose 4.68% to 11.08, Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG ) which was up 2.10% to settle at 80.10 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which gained 2.10% to close at 35.08.

The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER ) which was down 4.03% to 35.98 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV ) which lost 3.37% to settle at 11.60 and SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:1SXP ) which was down 3.25% to 25.62 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G ) which rose 6.00% to 12.72, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n ) which was up 3.44% to settle at 96.20 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG ) which gained 2.10% to close at 35.08.

The worst performers were Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG ) which was down 4.99% to 40.90 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV ) which lost 3.37% to settle at 11.60 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:ELGG ) which was down 3.17% to 64.10 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 346 to 285 and 30 ended unchanged.

Shares in SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:1SXP ) fell to all time lows; losing 3.25% or 0.86 to 25.62. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.44% or 3.20 to 96.20.

The DAX volatility index , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.06% to 16.30.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.71% or 43.90 to $2,614.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.90% or 1.94 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.80% or 1.99 to trade at $73.03 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 106.26.
