Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low, while the SBF 120 index declined 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Accor SA (EPA:ACCP ), which rose 1.92% or 0.83 points to trade at 44.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW ) added 1.68% or 1.22 points to end at 73.94 and Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD ) was up 1.30% or 1.26 points to 98.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP ), which fell 7.96% or 19.10 points to trade at 221.00 at the close. Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS ) declined 4.13% or 89.00 points to end at 2,068.00 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM ) was down 3.91% or 0.51 points to 12.53.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Aperam SA (AS:APAM ) which rose 5.47% to 27.36, Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC ) which was up 4.27% to settle at 26.85 and Ayvens SA (EPA:AYV ) which gained 3.43% to close at 7.24.
The worst performers were JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX ) which was down 12.01% to 14.80 in late trade, Kering SA (EPA:PRTP ) which lost 7.96% to settle at 221.00 and Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA ) which was down 7.14% to 7.93 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 299 to 184 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Accor SA (EPA:ACCP ) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.92% or 0.83 to 44.01. Shares in Kering SA (EPA:PRTP ) fell to 5-year lows; losing 7.96% or 19.10 to 221.00. Shares in JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 12.01% or 2.02 to 14.80. Shares in Kering SA (EPA:PRTP ) fell to 5-year lows; losing 7.96% or 19.10 to 221.00.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.47% or 12.65 to $2,693.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.87% or 2.08 to hit $70.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.49% or 1.88 to trade at $73.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.93% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 104.98.
