Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare , Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.58%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW ), which rose 3.14% or 2.36 points to trade at 77.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM ) added 2.89% or 0.35 points to end at 12.52 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY ) was up 2.53% or 2.30 points to 93.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thales (EPA:TCFP ), which fell 2.85% or 4.35 points to trade at 148.15 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN ) declined 2.59% or 0.69 points to end at 25.95 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP ) was down 2.23% or 1.30 points to 56.92.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT ) which rose 7.25% to 73.20, Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM ) which was up 3.80% to settle at 175.00 and ID Logistics SAS (EPA:IDLA ) which gained 3.21% to close at 386.00.
The worst performers were Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE ) which was down 3.78% to 22.88 in late trade, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN ) which lost 3.55% to settle at 6.15 and Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS ) which was down 3.03% to 105.70 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 262 to 210 and 103 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.24% or 33.20 to $2,708.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.82 to hit $70.92 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.70 to trade at $74.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 107.59.
