Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Consumer Goods and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.03%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP ), which rose 5.52% or 11.60 points to trade at 221.70 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA ) added 4.44% or 1.04 points to end at 24.44 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP ) was up 2.83% or 2.95 points to 107.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thales (EPA:TCFP ), which fell 4.25% or 6.30 points to trade at 141.85 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF ) declined 2.12% or 1.21 points to end at 55.88 and Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE ) was down 1.40% or 0.22 points to 15.18.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS ) which rose 98.85% to 0.31, Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT ) which was up 15.78% to settle at 84.75 and Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS ) which gained 8.27% to close at 5.64.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL ) which was down 5.55% to 3.20 in late trade, Amundi SA (EPA:AMUN ) which lost 5.51% to settle at 63.50 and Thales (EPA:TCFP ) which was down 4.25% to 141.85 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 269 to 240 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL ) fell to all time lows; falling 5.55% or 0.19 to 3.20.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 2.87% or 78.45 to $2,658.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.84% or 2.02 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.61% or 1.95 to trade at $72.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 107.01.
