Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV ), which rose 0.50% or 0.26 points to trade at 52.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV ) added 0.18% or 0.08 points to end at 44.19 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA ) was up 0.05% or 0.01 points to 19.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE ), which fell 3.99% or 0.53 points to trade at 12.74 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM ) declined 2.88% or 2.15 points to end at 72.45 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V ) was down 2.79% or 0.96 points to 33.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 135 to 39 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 1.10% or 0.85 to $76.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.12% or 0.83 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 20.86 to trade at $2,686.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 108.86.
