Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV ), which rose 1.94% or 0.95 points to trade at 49.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV ) added 1.81% or 0.19 points to end at 10.97 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO ) was up 1.67% or 0.68 points to 41.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE ), which fell 2.93% or 0.47 points to trade at 15.59 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA ) declined 1.71% or 0.36 points to end at 20.74 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM ) was down 1.26% or 0.18 points to 14.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE ) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.93% or 0.47 to 15.59.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.52% or 1.78 to $72.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.97% or 2.00 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.54% or 39.25 to trade at $2,581.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 101.52.
