Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV ), which rose 10.04% or 125.50 points to trade at 1,375.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb ) added 2.66% or 23.70 points to end at 914.20 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb ) was up 2.52% or 19.60 points to 797.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB ), which fell 1.66% or 30.00 points to trade at 1,779.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN ) declined 0.65% or 1.10 points to end at 159.50 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb ) was down 0.35% or 3.20 points to 922.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 50 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.04% or 125.50 to 1,375.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.58% or 2.41 to $69.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.09% or 2.18 to hit $72.79 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.57% or 40.00 to trade at $2,582.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.19% to 6.76, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.57.
