Dividends are distributed to shareholders listed in the company's database on the record date. With the T+1 settlement framework, the record date and ex-date align in most cases, except when a market holiday follows the ex-date.


Companies like , , , and India, among others, have declared dividends for eligible shareholders, with the record date set as July 16. Today is the last day to buy shares of these companies to qualify for the announced dividends.

Dividends are paid to shareholders whose names appear in the company's database on the record date. Post the implementation of the T+1 framework, the record date and ex-date are the same in most cases unless there is a market holiday after the ex-date.

Shareholders who buy the stock at least one day before the ex-date are eligible for dividends, as settlement occurs the next day. Those purchasing the stock on the ex-date are not eligible for dividends.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services will be paying a final dividend of Rs 6.3 per share and the record date for the purpose is July 16.

Nestle India will pay a total dividend of Rs 10.80 to eligible shareholders, consisting of a final dividend of Rs 8.5 per share and an interim dividend of Rs 2.75 per share. The record date for this is July 16.
