Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology , Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.89% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP ), which rose 0.49% or 0.10 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG ) added 0.47% or 0.12 points to end at 25.68 and Elia (EBR:ELI ) was up 0.30% or 0.25 points to 83.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS ), which fell 2.14% or 1.57 points to trade at 71.79 at the close. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC ) declined 1.92% or 1.38 points to end at 70.48 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB ) was down 1.47% or 2.90 points to 194.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 79 to 19 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.62% or 16.30 to $2,630.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $73.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 106.18.
