Australian gambling firm Tabcorp lays off 10% workforce, AFR reports

(Reuters) -Australian betting and gambling firm Tabcorp Holdings has laid off 10% of its workforce, around 200 roles, to cut down on costs and simplify its business, the Australian Financial Review reported on Wednesday, citing company spokesperson.

The Australian media outlet said the cuts are happening across all divisions, including the media arm, but not in its horse-racing broadcasting channel Sky Racing.

Shares of the wagering firm ended 1.8% lower at A$0.276.

Tabcorp did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for confirmation.
